Vista Little League Baseball Registration Information (Ages 4-13)

Divisions and Player Assessments

Vista Little League offers six divisions, ranging from T-Ball to Intermediate, for players ages 4 to 13. Player assessments are required for divisions AA and above to ensure teams are balanced. Practice and Game Schedules

Practice Start Time: As early as 4 p.m.
Weekday Games End: As late as 9 p.m. (upper divisions) Please note that we cannot accommodate schedule requests due to the league's size. Make sure to consider transportation for your player before registering.

Pricing

New for Spring 2025: Registration fees now include a standard photo package.
Late Fee: Applies to registrations starting 1/20/2025
Multi-Player Discount: Available for families registering three or more players.

Division Age Brackets

Divisions are based on Little League's "League Age," which can be calculated using the League Age Calculator. Age ranges for Little League are as follows:

T-Ball: 4-6
Single A: 5*-7 (must be 5 by 3/1/25)
AA: 7-10
AAA: 8-11
Majors: 10*-12
Intermediate: 13

*Currently, registration for Majors is only open to 11- and 12-year-olds. If your child is League Age 10, please register them for AAA. They will be assessed based on their age and are eligible for the Majors draft.

NEW Boundary Rule for Ages 4-7 (2025 Season)

Children ages 4-7 can now register for any Little League program, regardless of geographic or school boundaries. Once registered, players will remain eligible for all league play and tournaments, as long as they continue playing in the same league from age 7 and meet all other eligibility requirements.

Boundary Rules for Ages 8-13 (2025 Season)

For players ages 8-13, the following boundary rules apply:

Players whose primary residence is within the league’s boundary can play for that league.
Players can play for the league where their school is located.
Players from divided homes may choose to play in a league within the boundaries of either parent’s residence.

To check if you're within Vista Little League’s boundaries, use the League Finder by entering your home or school address. If either matches, you're eligible to play.

School Enrollment Forms

If your child attends a school within Vista Little League boundaries, you can submit a School Enrollment Form (download here). Our League ID number is 405-28-11. If your child’s school is outside the boundaries, you must provide proof of residency (one item from each of three groups).

Upper Division Placement (AAA, Majors, Intermediate)

Players registering for AAA, Majors, or Intermediate will be placed into assessment groups based on their League Age eligibility. All players must attend a mandatory assessment day, after which they will enter the draft for their eligible divisions. Managers in each division will draft players based on their assessments. Please note that the division you sign up for does not guarantee placement in that division.

For example:

A 10- or 11-year-old registered for Majors may be placed in the AAA draft if they are not selected by a Majors Manager.
Similarly, 8- to 10-year-olds registered for AAA may be placed in the AA division if they are not drafted by a AAA Manager. They will then need to attend the AA assessment day and enter the AA draft.
